I have heard Muslim women say that they feel freer wearing a veil because they are being judged just for their mind, not for their womanly features or whatever. Call me crazy but I think I have a right to expect fair, equatable treatment whilst my head is uncovered. I think it is disrespectful to men also, I mean, I don't know many men who are unable to control themselves in the face of an attractive woman and if they are unable then that is their responsibility to bear, not the woman's.
